Day 1. Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrive Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu. Check in the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2 Kathmandu
Indeed, Kathmandu has an element of divinity. It has special experiences that are surely unique in every respect. Blessed with heritage and spirituality, Kathmandu is etched in traditions. Early morning wake up and walk promises a visitor to experience the traditional side of Kathmandu in wake of sunrise, rituals and rites around temples and monasteries.
After breakfast, begin the actual discovery of Kathmandu Durbar Square in the half day sightseeing. The sacred heart of the city, Durbar Square has the old world charm wrapped in the awe-inspiring architecture that brings the best of the location. Built in a pagoda style, the heritage site has renowned structures like the Palace of the Malla, Kumari Temple - house of the virgin goddess.
Next part of the day is dedicated to the shrine of Swayambhunath stupa. Visiting Patan, a famous city featuring arts and crafts, is yet another fascinating part of the trip. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3 Kathmandu - Lumbini
After breakfast, drive from Kathmandu to the Lumbini (260 kms / 6 hrs), one of the places with breathtaking views and scenic beauty. The birthplace of Lord Buddha, it is one of the definitive experiences in Nepal. Considered as the place of holy pilgrimage, Lumbini is also a World Heritage Sites recognized by UNESCO.
Arrive Lumbini, transfer you to the hotel for taking rest after the journey. Check-in and then we go walking through the Sacred Lumbini Garden, the place to visit as it is considered the holy place and the birth place of the Lord Buddha.
There remains the Ashoka pillar inscriptions also testify the presence of Lumbini around 2,500 years ago. Visiting the Maya Devi Temple with its bas-relief sculpture depicting Maya Devi is also on the day’s tour.
Day 4 Lumbini
After breakfast, begin the drive to 27 km west of Lumbini and visit the important archaeological site, Tilaurakot. It was the ancient palace of King Suddodhana and the site of legendary kingdom of Kapilavastu.
Here the Buddha spent his formative years as a Shakya Prince. Enjoy yourself for a moment to wander around and immerse in the glory of wonderful places. There is also a museum nearby for you to enjoy. Drive back to Lumbini for overnight stay.
Day 5 Lumbini - Kathmandu
After breakfast, return to Kathmandu. Check-in at the hotel is planned thereafter taking the day at your own leisure.
Day 6 Depart Kathmandu
After taking our breakfast, transfer to the airport to board the flight to the onward destination / connected internationally.
